Style Diary – Vancouver Fashion Week – Day 3

Graphic prints, sporty street and 60s mod silhouettes!

This was certainly a fun outfit for Vancouver Fashion Week.  I was drawn like a moth to a flame with this bold paintbrush print in a 60s mod style dress. I added a bit of street with the printed leggings and a bit of sporty spice with the mesh layer underneath.  A little contrasting pop of colour never hurt anyone either – so paired it up with my fave blue suede ankle booties ;p

Outfit: Coat, earrings, necklace – Topshop / Dress, mesh top & leggings – H&M / Booties – Aldo / Bag – Winners / Nail polish – Urban Outfitters

Bump: 24 weeks ;p

style Diary – Vancouver Fashion Week – Day 1

Finally, a few moments of downtown to catch up on Style Diary posts, runway reviews, interviews, etc.

Vancouver Fashion Week kicked of its s/s 14 shows with an opening gala showcasing a design from each of the designers for the upcoming week.  A fancy affair in a beautiful set up that required a little more fall glam for this baby mama ;p

Outfit:  Skirt & dress – H&M / necklace – Topshop / Bag – Winners / Heels – Sam Edleman / Nails – Revlon

Baby bump: 24 weeks ;p

Style Diary – City Slicker

This week I’m combining one of my favourite prints (take a wild guess!) with another on trend print – the grid.  I found this fantastic heavy knit skirt at Winners – it is super comfortable and reversible for a completely different contrasting look.  Fall is all about layering and with the crisp mornings but sunny and warm afternoons, this outfit works perfectly for fall.

Outfit:  Crop top & jumper – H&M / Skirt & bag – Winners / Heels – Nine West / Eyewear – Unif from Jennyfleur Loves

Bump: 22 Weeks ;p

Style Diary – Pop Rock

Feeling an 80s Pop Rock vibe in this getup.  I love the black and white with a pop of shocking pink lippy.  Ditched the heels in this look to keep it casual (and to give my lil pregnant toeties a rest) but this look would totally work with some chic black heels or ankle booties.

Outfit: Hat – Aritzia / Jacket & t-shirt – H&M / Skirt – American Apparel / Shoes – Aldo / Bag – Fine Finds / Sunglasses – Topshop

Bump: 20 weeks ;p

Style Diary – Dîner En Blanc

Apart from the Deighton Cup, one of the most anticipated events of the year in Vancouver has got to be the Dîner En Blanc.  With tickets hard to come by and a little human to keep me occupied next year, I was as keen as mustard to get my hands on a pair for this year’s stunning event.

Dressing a bump is a challenge, dressing a bump in white (which adds pounds instantly), even more so.  After purchasing this little number a month ago, I had been crossing my fingers and toes every day that it would still fit (in all the right places!) by the time the clock struck Dîner En Blanc!  It did – phew!  Paired with a simple clutch and heels, the only thing missing was a little extravagance which was accomplished with a piece from one of my favourite Vancouver designers – Ms. Carlie Wong!

Outfit: Dress – Guess / Hat – Carlie Wong / Heels – Hudson Bay / Clutch & ring – Fine Finds

Bump: 19 Weeks ;p

Stay tuned for a full review of this amazing event ;p
