SUSAN FIEDLER X EAST VAN CROSS PROJECT

Designer Susan Fiedler has conceived a fundraising initiative called the East Van Cross Project to benefit Pivot Legal Society. Inspired by the Monument for East Vancouver sculpture, Fiedler is the first individual to be granted a license from the City of Vancouver to reproduce the iconic East Van Cross in the form of jewelry, beginning with two sterling silver pendants.

Susan Fiedler is a Canadian jewelry designer known for her artistic talent and business acumen. In recent years she has launched several initiatives that have allowed her to use her talents “for good” and support community causes she feels passionate about.

Susan’s latest initiative, The East Van Cross Project, raises funds for Pivot Legal Society, which works to create social and systematic change in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver.  The project began with the iconic Monument For East Vancouver sculpture created by Ken Lum. Developed from a graffiti symbol that has circulated for several decades, it is an expression of hope and defiance. Inspired by the design and supported by the City of Vancouver through a licensing agreement, Susan has designed two pendants based on the sculpture.

The East Van Cross pendants are available for pre-order at www.eastvancrossproject.com and range from $150 to $325 CDN. $25 from each pendant sold will be donated to Pivot Legal Society.  A larger range of jewelry based on the Monument will follow in the Spring of 2015.

Read up on Susan’s other amazing fund raisers and initiatives – one of them you may remember, which is the F Cancer fundraiser that raised thousands of $’s, while spreading inspiration to everyone affected by the disease.

Please spread the word and support this great cause!
