Albeit shapeless and boxy, it still exudes elegance. A big trend this spring, I paired this shirt dress with another trend still with us from last year – the blanket cape. Perfect for layering and super comfortable to sit and watch a series of runway shows in ;p
Probably the best investment so far this season has been my cape coat from H&M. Apart from being on trend for fall/winter, it’s the perfect shape to accommodate my growing sidekick and it’s so easy to throw over just about anything, although I prefer to keep a streamlined silhouette underneath to not add any extra bulk and keep it looking chic. And these tights – I can’t rave about them enough. They have built in over the knee socks so there’s no chance of mid-thigh muffin top ;p
For some reason, dark neutrals are looking so warming and cosy to me this fall. This outfit is super comfortable and easy to throw on and still look chic. And I’m loving the lengthy cardigans this season – they are a great transition to the heavy coats we’ll be sporting soon.
A smackering of red – THE colour of this fall and winter. If you don’t want to go full on red from top to toe, this is the perfect way to incorporate it to stay on trend ;p
The Topshop coat pulled this fun back-to-school preppy look together just perfectly and it strangely reminds me of those big storage bags from the $$$ shop in London (my London peeps will know what I’m talking about ;p)
Graphic prints, sporty street and 60s mod silhouettes!
This was certainly a fun outfit for Vancouver Fashion Week. I was drawn like a moth to a flame with this bold paintbrush print in a 60s mod style dress. I added a bit of street with the printed leggings and a bit of sporty spice with the mesh layer underneath. A little contrasting pop of colour never hurt anyone either – so paired it up with my fave blue suede ankle booties ;p
